Treasure Island offers three miles of family-friendly white-sand Gulf beaches across a barrier island near St. Petersburg. Named after a 1915 real estate stunt involving buried treasure chests, the island features the mile-long Treasure Island Beach Trail connecting beachside tiki bars and amenities. The St. Petersburg Municipal Beach provides restrooms, showers, wheelchair accessibility, volleyball courts, playgrounds, and generous dunes, all backed by spectacular Gulf sunsets.
