Editor's Notes
A weir pool on the River Cam above Grantchester, named for Lord Byron, who as a Cambridge undergraduate is said to have swum here — a claim celebrated by Rupert Brooke in his poem about Grantchester. The surrounding woodland is now a local nature reserve.
