North Avenue Beach sits on Lake Michigan at North Avenue in Chicago's Lincoln Park, with a large beach house, volleyball courts and an accessible beach walk. Swimming is allowed only in designated areas while lifeguards are on duty, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day, and never under a red flag.
